Greg Lake At Christmas

Do you remember this Christmas song, one of the few that eschews sentimentality and takes a clear-eyed view of the world at Christmas? I think it’s from about 1975. We were just emerging from the Vietnam War then. In my earlier incarnation as a lay person I used to really like Greg Lake. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqOfXumI18A

Really enjoyed this; a good antidote to the usual pap! The visuals were powerful too. Thanks.

By the way, if you have been a scout in your youth then you have received the initiation into scouthood or into being a scout.
If you look at the standard understanding of "initiation" in the study of religion (and other related systems), it should be clear that there are many kinds of initiations in the course of one's life, initiations in one's profession, in folk culture, in army, etc...
