That is interesting ? How about Buddhism ? will its grow or will it decline ?
Didnt the Buddha say that the Dhamma would be lost but then a new Buddha would arise in the world? metta jim

As for Buddhism the picture is mixed.It is hard not to get the impression that Buddhism in its traditional homeland is not somewhat stagnant, although there are a few lights on the horizon. We will have to see how it deals with rapid political, social and economic changes that are sweeping through its domain. Beyond its traditional homeland – India and the West - it is certainly growing. One very positive thing is that literature on Dhamma is now more easily available than ever before, both in Asia and the West. I think it’s going to be some time before we will need a new Buddha to re-establish the Dhamma.
I'm more a believer of whoever is the enlightened one, be it Gotama buddha or any other pacceka buddhas, the "ism" and "hist" is not intended.
The buddha didnt preach buddhism. he taught the dhamma.
The more detached one get from nature, the more detached we get from dhamma....already more than half of humans live in cities, a first in our entire human civilization
